Bethel Marie Hicks

Bethel  Marie Hicks, 73, of Payne passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. 

Bethel was born in Wilson Creek, Kentucky  on July 6, 1942 a daughter of the late Zada (Bradley) & Ollie Ratliff.

She worked at General Electric & Big Lots and had been a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Bethel cared for everyone especially her nieces & nephews, as if they were her immediate family. She had a special passion for animals, but was equally happy fishing and going to auctions.

On November 23, 1963 she married Lacy Dean Hicks.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Lacy Dean; daughters, Deana Marie Hicks & Mary Martha Hicks all of Payne; siblings, Dorothy Ratliff of Paulding, Edna (Ron) Hensley of Fort Wayne & Harlan (Laura) Ratliff of Oakwood; brother-in-law, Roger Haiflich of Fort Wayne and her grand dogs and grand cats.

Also preceding her in death was her sister, Judy Haiflich.

Viewing is Sunday, 2 to 6 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne  at 11 am on Monday, January 25th. 

She will be lad to rest at Lehman Cemetery.
