Charles "Bill" Copsey, 92, of Payne, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Payne on August 24, 1920, a son of the late Norma (Burkle) and Charles Copsey.
Bill served in the U.S. Navy and worked at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Betty; children, Morris (Terri) Copsey of Gravette, AR, Joan (Arvil) Sizemore of Vicksburg, MS, Lynn Copsey of Enfield, CT; stepdaughter, Pat Markham of Paulding; siblings, Gladys Utterback of Payne & Paul Copsey of Paulding. 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren & 10 great great grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death are his first wife, Esther DeLaurelle; daughter Patricia Tempel; stepson Roger Eagleson; brother Pete; 2 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
Bills's service is at Payne Church of the Nazarene, 509 E. Orchard, at 11 am on Tuesday, May 28th, with viewing one hour prior.
Viewing is also Monday, 4 - 8 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.
He will be laid to rest at Wiltsie Cemetery, with military honors.
