Bill Neff

Billy Liggett Neff, 94, formerly of Payne, now of Wyndgate of Circleville passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024.

Bill was born in Warsaw, Indiana on April 18, 1929, a son of the late Lucy Louise (Liggett) and Marvin Edward Neff.

He was a kind, generous person. Bill always held his faith and family close to him. During his career on the railroad, Bill worked for the Nickle Plate Railroad, Norfolk Western and Norfolk Southern. He treasured the time he spent with his brethren at the Payne Masonic Lodge and the Eastern Star. Bill also loved to research genealogy.

Bill will be sadly missed by his sons, Rev. Blake (Nancy) and Kevin (Dee) and sister, Sue Harshbarger; four grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary (Brown) on December 20, 2023; brother, Phillip Neff and granddaughter, Rebecca Short.

Viewing is Thursday, March 21st,  2 to 3 PM, Circleville First Church, 436 East Ohio Street, Circleville.

Bill's funeral service is Friday, March 22nd, 2 PM with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio.

He will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery Payne, Ohio.
