BUDD SMITH

CARL BUDD SMITH, age 88, of Hicksville, Ohio , passed away at 8:31 AM, Sunday, February 25th, 2007 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.

Born in Antwerp, Ohio on July 8, 1918, he was the son of the late Carl F. and Norma C. (Filley) Smith.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Sgt in WW II.

On July 20, 1947 Budd married Kathleeen Elder. She passed away October 9, 1996.

Budd was a co-owner of L. Smith & Son Buick, Antwerp.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hicksville and a lifetime member of the Hicksville Historical Society.

Budd will be sadly misssed by his daughter, Mary Smith of Hicksville; son, John (Kathleen) Smith; sister, Dorothy (Ray) Jeffery; brother, Max (Hope) Smith all of Antwerp; grandchildren Alexander Smith of London, England, Claire (Brian) Rogers of Maineville, Ohio, Megan Smith of Bryan and Michael Smith of Antwerp.
A son, James, and an infant daughter preceded him in death.

Services are at Grace United Methodist Church, Hicksville at 11 am on Wednesday, February 28th, with Reverend Jerry Lewis officiating.

You may call Tuesday, 2 to 8 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, and Wednesday, 1 hour prior to services, at the church.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
