Byron W. Rasey, 76, of Antwerp, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
Byron was born in Napoleon, on December 15, 1936, a son of the late Lovella (Wooten) and Byron Rasey.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, was a truck driver & Business Agent for Teamsters Local 414.
Byron was a member of the Hickville Masonic Lodge; Antwerp Conservation Club & the NRA.
On April 20, 1968 Byron married Janice Mosier.
Byron will be fondly remembered by his wife, Jan; children, Kevin (Leslie) Buck of Duluth, MN, Tamara (Jim McClanahan) Rasey of Cincinnati & Pamela (Vincent Guyaux) Rasey of Montreal; siblings, Bainbridge of Hicksville, Rev. John (Charlotte) of Winston-Salem, NC, Sharon (Rev. Larry) Hopkins of Lima; sister-in-law, Pat of Bryan; grandchildren, Evan & Graham; Joel, Moriah, Whitney & Grace; family cats, Miranda, Matilda, Big Kitty & Theo. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Cecil.
Viewing is Tuesday, 5 to 7:30 pm, with Masonic Rites at 7:30 at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
His service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp at 11 am on Wednesday, December 11th, with viewing one hour prior.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
