Charles Mansfield, 83, of Payne, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born in Broughton on January 9, 1934, a son of the late Margaret (Fisher) and Cecil Mansfield.

Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Marines as a Corporal during the Korean War. He was a valued employee at Navistar but was most content at the end of a fishing reel.

On Sept. 7, 1957 he married Janice (Bowers) who survives. Beloved father of Jill (Randy) Webster of New Haven, Scott (Lynne) of Antwerp, Jane of Payne & the late Tony; grandfather of Houston, Mallory, Jeremy & Cody; great grandfather of Layne, Lucas & Claire; brother of Sara (Randy) Higgins of Defiance, Walter & Bruce (Marla) both of Payne, Mike (Faith) of Helena, Maurice (Kathy) of California & the late Kay Miller, Zoe Bostick, Bart & Rex. 

His graveside ceremony is Friday, 11 am, with military honors at Wiltsie Cemetery, Road 51, Payne.

Memorials are to Parkview Hospice.
