Cynthia Herber

Cynthia Lou Herber (McGuire) 64, Antwerp, OH, found her everlasting peace on June 30, 2023, surrounded by her husband and children. Cindy battled stage 4 cancer for 5 years and was determined not to let it take control of her life and that was the battle she won.

She was born September 13, 1958 to her late parents, John (Jack) and Marge McGuire from Lima, OH.

On March 27, 1982, she married Kenneth (Spud) Herber and they started a beautiful life and love story together based around their faith and guidance from God. She was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church. Cindy loved going on vacations, sewing, cross stitching, but most of all,  loved being around her family. Cindy was a proud and loving mother to her three children, Charles Mcguire, Susan (Nick) Bonifas, and Jenny (Dave) Poor, and her fur babies Champ and Zoey. Cindy's greatest joy, however, was when she became a grandma to all of her amazing grandkids, Braedon McGuire, Jordan, Sayge, and Lainee Bonifas, Lyndin Poor and the newest addition who made her a great grandma, Greyson Bonifas. She will be greatly missed by the family and friends she cherished deeply including her 4 brothers, Rick, Bill, Dave, and Randy and 2 sisters, Linda and Marie (Sam) and numerous in laws.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Alyce Pfenning, brother in law, Gary Pfenning, sister in law, Lou Ann McGuire, and brother in law John Manuel.

Viewing is Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 2-5 PM at Dooley Funeral Home of Payne, 5761 SR 500, Payne Ohio 45880.

Viewing is also July 3, 2023 from 9-9:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 3, 2023 at 10 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church 203 W Townline St, Payne, Ohio.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp.
