Deborah J Hessler

Deborah J. Hessler, 69, of Van Wert, passed away April 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

Deb was born in Fort Wayne on August 24, 1955, a daughter of JoAnn (Banks) & Richard Baker.

Deb dedicated many years of her life to a successful career in banking and office management. On April 23, 1976, she married the love of her life, beginning a beautiful journey filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Outside of work, Deb found joy in bowling, golfing, and playing softball, always embracing life with energy, enthusiasm and positivity. She was known for her compassion, generosity & giving the best hugs. But more than anything, Deb's heart belonged to her family—she deeply loved and treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She had an unwavering faith & peace that was felt by all who knew her.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Mike; children, Bobbie (Jim) Sherry, Joy (Joe) Krugh, Racheal (Andy) Head, & Jessica Hessler; siblings, Danny Baker, Denise Getzel, Doreen (Dennis) Amstutz, & Darla Baker; 15 grandchildren; & 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Baker, & sister, Diane Lecher.Service is Monday, April 21st at 6 PM with viewing from 3-6 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.

She will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery.
