Delmar Miller

Delmar T. Miller, 94, of Sherwood, Ohio passed away Monday, September 9, 2024 at Mercy Health-Defiance.

Delmar was born in Mark Center, Ohio on August 25, 1930, a son of the late Louise (Joost) and Carl Miller.

He was a 1947 graduate of Mark Center High School. He went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. Delmar paid the ultimate compliment to his father by becoming a farmer like him. He also worked at General Motors in quality control for 39 years. Delmar enjoyed square dancing and was a huge fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

Delmar will be sadly missed by his children, Laenette (Greg) Guilford, Kevin, (the late Tammy Jo) Miller, Timothy (Tamara Sue) Miller and Mitzi (Doug) Elwer; son-in-law, Gary (Diane) Gustwiller; sister-in-law, Annabelle (the late Norman) Kunce; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Frances Jeanette (Kunce), to whom he was married September 29, 1951; daughter, Victoria Gustwiller siblings, Edna Hellemn and Edgar Miller.

Viewing is Thursday, September 12th, 3 to 7 PM at St John Lutheran Church, 9088 Openlander Rd, Sherwood.

His funeral service is Friday, September 13th, 11 AM, with viewing 10 to 10:45 AM at St John Lutheran Church.

He will be laid to rest in St John Lutheran Cemetery, with military honors.
