Donald W. Kagy, 85, of Paulding, passed away Sunday, February 3rd, 2008 at the Country Inn, Paulding. Donald was born in Bloomville, Ohio on January 27, 1923, the son of the late Clyde and Clady (Weaver) Kagy. He graduated from Ohio State University and was the director of the Paulding County Soil & Water Conservation District from 1969 to 1978. Previous to that he was the plant manager at Page Dairy, Bluffton, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a Sgt. stationed in England during WW II, was a member of the Paulding VFW Post 587 & the Soil Coservation Society of America and enjoyed farming.
On October 30, 1948, he married Marie Roth, who survives. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Marie; daughters, Diane (Marshall) Olp of Yuma, AZ & Ann (Steve) Wamberg, Colorado Springs; sons, Roger (Pat) of Houston & James (Jane) of Cincinnati; sisters, Eunice (Junior) Nagle of Willard, Marlene (Boyd) Gurney of Richmond, VA & Lois (Bill) Reichart of Columbus; brothers, Joe (Katie) of Maumee, Steve (Dottie) & Merle (RoseAnne) both of Tiffin; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mildred & Joyce and brothers, Gilbert, Berlin, Ken, Carlton & Forest.
You are invited to participate in his service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, Thursday, 2pm with Steve Wamberg officiating. You may call Thursday, 10 am to 12 pm, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Saint Paul Cemetery, Paulding.
