Donna Schmidt

Donna G. Schmidt, 94, of Payne, Ohio passed away at home on Friday, December 29, 2023.

Donna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on December 21, 1929, a daughter of the late Cecile (Pio) and John Deeter.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Donna will be sadly missed by her children, Dennis (the late Shirley) Schmidt, Daniel Schmidt, Diane (Jim) Langbehn, Gregory Schmidt & Gay (Jim) Beebe; sister, Jeannine Strombeck; 17 grandchildren; & 30 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen.

Viewing is Sunday, January 7, 2023, from 2-4:30 PM when the rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet will be recited, at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, OH 45880.

Viewing is also Monday, January 8, 2023 from 9-9:30 AM at the funeral home.

Her funeral mass will be held on Monday, January 8, 2023 at 10 AM, at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W Townline St, Payne, OH 45880.

She will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Payne.

In lieu of flowers and other tributes, the family asks to have Masses said in her name.

Memorials are to Divine Mercy Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children’s Hospital.
