Dorothy A. Driver, 94, of New Haven, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Georgetown Place in Fort Wayne.
Dorothy was born on August 21, 1930 in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Marjorie (Long) Reese & James Matson.
Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who lived a full and active life. She graduated from Central High School and spent 29 years working at Rea Magnet Wire, retiring in 1986. On July 1, 1950, she married Norm Driver, the love of her life, and they shared many joyful years together until his passing in 2014. Dorothy was deeply involved in her community, participating in local bowling leagues and being a proud member of the Fort Wayne Women's Traffic Club. She was also an active member of the First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. Dorothy loved to travel, especially with Norman and her family, exploring new places in their camper and on cruises. Always an outdoor enthusiast, she enjoyed water skiing, snowmobiling, and spending time at the lake. Above all, Dorothy cherished her family and the precious moments she shared with them.
Dorothy will be sadly missed by her daughter, Diane (John) Kinnaley; siblings, Beverly Ragavoy & Mark Matson; grandson, Dan (Kristen) Kinnaley; & great grandchildren, Ava & Henry Kinnaley.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norm & siblings James & Barry Matson.
Service will be Friday, March 14th at 11 AM with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio 45880.
She will be laid to rest in Lehman Cemetery.
