Dorothy Van Horn

Mrs. Dorothy M. Van Horn, 80, of Payne, passed away Wednesday, June 18th, 2008 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Dorothy was born in Napoleon, Michigan on May 12, 1928, the daughter of the late Howard and Estella J. (Leonard) Owens.

She was a homemaker. On July 6, 1948, Dorothy married James Van Horn, Sr., who survives.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her husband, James of Payne; daughter, Patricia (Jon) Friend of Cecil; sons, James (Sharon) of Fort Wayne, Kenneth (Rose) of Payne, John (Leighann) & Clifford, both of Hicksville; sisters, Betty Miller of Van Wert & Cina Marquardt of Fort Wayne; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a sister, Opal Zolman; brother, David Owens and 2 grandchildren.

You are invited to participate in her funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, at 11 am on Saturday, June 21st, with calling one hour prior. Rev. Jim Edwards will officiate.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
