Edward C. McCreery, II, 84, of Cecil, Ohio passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
Edward was born in Antwerp on August 27, 1940, a son of the late Edward & Bonnie (Wilson) McCreery.
Ed was a 1958 graduate of Antwerp High School. Among other accomplishments, Ed was proud to be the first from Antwerp to go to state in track. Ed went on to be a quality auditor at General Motors. In his free time, Ed enjoyed being a Boy Scout leader, going on canoe trips, leather working, and arrowhead hunting. He also enjoyed professional archery, winning competitions in Detroit and Chicago. Ed also graciously opened his home as a foster parent to many children. Most of all, Ed was a good and faithful servant of the Lord, worshiping at Calvary Bible Church and a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Ed will be sadly missed by his wife, Delores "Dodie" (Gill); children, Bonnie McCreery, Jonathon (Heather VanWagner) McCreery; brother, Richard "Dick" McCreery; 8 grandchildren; & 11 great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, David McCreery.
Viewing is Monday, February 3rd from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, Ohio.
