Elaine Litzenberg, 89, of Payne went home to her heavenly home on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Paulding County Hospital.
Elaine was born in Payne on July 29, 1922, a daughter of the late Vivian (Outland) and John Bonner.
She worked at Wayne Trace Elementary for 23 years & was the Clerk Treasurer for the Village of Payne for 16 years. Elaine was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 56 years & a devout member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church.
On Aug 9, 1941 she married Dale Litzenberg, who died Feb 17, 1989.
Elaine will be sadly missed by her children, Jody (Kerry) Hook of Payne & James (Frances) of Indialantic, FL; sisters, Dortha Schaefer & Helen Cole both of Fort Wayne.
3 grandchildren, Rachelle Litzenberg, Sheila (Jason) Dunham, Lisa Mitchell & 5 great grandchildren, Ethan, Alec and Melanie Dunham, Kierstin Mitchell, and Samuel Litzenberg and special friends, Ed and Sue Smith of Kissimmee, Florida.
She was also preceded in death by a great grandchild, David Loftin, Litzenberg.
Viewing is Thursday, 4 to 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Payne.
Her funeral service is at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, Payne at 10 am, with viewing one hour prior on Friday, July 13th.
She will be laid to rest at Wiltsie Cemetery.
