Ellen May Ames, 80, died at 3:10 AM Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Dallas Lamb, Payne, OH.
She was born January 06, 1931 in Payne, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur and Roiselen (Crawford) Fisher. On December 17, 1948 she married Ralph Max Ames who passed away February 01, 1987. She worked at Magnavox, Ft. Wayne for 30 years and previously was employed at Rae Magnet Wire of Ft. Wayne. She was a life member of the VFW Post in Antwerp.
She is survived by her daughters; Jackie (Kenny) Foor and Lori (Dennis) Clem both of Payne, OH; her son, Ralph Max "Mick" (Robin) Ames, of Ft. Wayne; and a sister Nancy Wagner.
Also surviving are 11 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grand Children and 2 Step Grandsons.
Preceding her in death was one Great Grandson.
Friends may call from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM on Wednesday, February 16 at Dooley Funeral Home in Payne, OH and one hour prior to the 11 AM service on Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Joe Allen of St. James Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Lehman Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
