George Davenport

GEORGE R. DAVENPORT II age 61, of Antwerp, passed away Tuesday morning, September 13th, 2005 at his residence.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 19, 1943, he was the son of the late George R. and Phyllis (Nagawiecki) Davenport.

He served in the National Guard.

George married Dorothy (Newbauer) Davenport Oct 19, 2000. She survives.

He previously worked at Almet, New Haven, Indiana.

Surviving are his sons, George R. Davenport III of Newark, Ohio & Robert Davenport of Mississippi; step daughter, Carla Woodcox of Antwerp; step son, Jeffrey Banks of El Paso, TX; sisters, Nancy Zuk of St.Clair, MI, Susan Murfield of Springfield, Ohio, Connie Davenport of Newark, Ohio; brother, Scott Davenport of Newark, Ohio and 7 grandchildren.

His son, Rodney and granddaughter, Lexi Woodcox have passed away

You are invited to participate in his funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 am on Friday, September 16th, with Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
