GERALD A. "GERRY" SNYDER, JR., age 70, of Antwerp, passed away Thursday, February 22nd, 2007 at his residence.

Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 22, 1936, he was the son of the late Gerald A. and Katherine E. (Evans) Snyder.

He served in the U. S. Army Reserves.

On December 31, 1955 Gerry married Donna (Smith), who survives.

He was the owner of Antwerp Tool & Die. Gerry was also an experienced gunsmith, who also loved to hunt. Prior to owning the tool & die, Gerry owned the Antwerp Barber Shop.

Gerry was a member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Antwerp, Antwerp Chamber of Commerce, Antwerp Conservation Club and a lifetime member of the NRA, past President of the Antwerp Village Council, past President of Paulding County Cancer Society and past Chairman of Paulding County Republican Party.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Donna; daughters, Sheryl Snyder of Quincy, MA, Sharlotte (Mike) Smith of Antwerp and Shelley (Tony) Nighswander of Hicksville; sister, Patricia Linder of Payne; brothers, Don K. Snyder, M.D. of Payne, Lynn E. Snyder of Churubusco, IN and David S. Snyder of Payne; 5 grandchildren, Jerika Miller, Jeremy & Joshua Smith and Benjamin & Kenton Nighswander and 5 great grandchildren, Owen, Olivia & Austin Miller and Autumn & Makenna Smith.

You are invited to participate in his funeral service at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Antwerp at 11 am on Monday, February 26th, with Reverend William E.D. Barlow officiating.

You may call Sunday, 2-8 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home and Monday, 1 hr prior to service, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church of Antwerp.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
