Harold "Bud" Overmyer

Harold "Bud" Overmyer, 90, of Hicksville passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.

Bud was born in Antwerp on March 18, 1925, a son of the late Minnie (Pugh) and Jerry  Overmyer.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the Pacific Theater & was a machining foreman at Dana Weatherhead, Antwerp. Bud was a charter member of Antwerp VFW Post 5087 and worshipped at Gateway Chapel, Hicksville.

On July 20, 1944 he married Ruth Hartman.

Bud will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth; 4 children, Joan (David) Myers of Nora Springs, iA;Suzanne Overmyer of Hicksvillle; Denise (Keith) Culbertson of Fort Wayne & Troy (Mindy) of Maumee; 7 grandchildren & 8  great grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by his son, Craig; and siblings Lucille Benschneider, Margie, Russell, Paul, Cecil & Virgil.

Viewing is Tuesday, 4 - 8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp. 

His funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp at 11 am on Wednesday, December 23rd, with viewing one hour prior.
 
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors.
