Harold R. "Bud" Zartman, 84, of Payne, passed away at 6:45 pm, Thursday, March 20th, 2008 at his residence.
Bud was born in Payne on October 26, 1923, the son of the late Harold and Viola (Matthews) Zartman.
Bud served in the U.S. Army as a T SGT in WW II; worked at Midwest Rail for 12 years after 33 1/2 years at Panhandle Eastern Pipeline, was a member of the Edgerton Wesleyan Church & Payne American Legion Post 297.
On March 8, 1947, Bud married Marguerite Fullman, who survives.
Bud will be sadly missed by his wife; daughters, Margaret (Stephen) Zartman-Radike of Fort Wayne & Jeraldine Clester of Payne; son, Kenneth (Carolyn) Sauder of New Mexico; sisters, Katherine Fegley, Denene Yenser, Hilda Lyons, Olive Dinger, Genevieve Hoaglin & Edie Mills all of Payne; brothers, Lennis of Payne, Larry (Carol) of Sherwood & William of Antwerp; 11 grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his son, Robert Sauder and brothers, John & Wesley.
You are invited to participate in his service at Edgerton Wesleyan Church, Edgerton, Indiana, at 11 am on Thursday, March 27th, with Revs. Dave Dignal & Mike Schoonover officiating.
You may call Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.
You may call Thursday, one hour prior to services, at the church.
He will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery, Payne.
