Harry Joseph Dunderman

Harry Joseph Dunderman, 84, of Antwerp, Ohio, passed away Friday, July 28, 2023 at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Harry was born in Antwerp on January 14, 1939, a son of the late Bessie (Donat) and Raymond  Dunderman.

He was raised from the age of five by Donald and Florence Boyce. Harry graduated from Antwerp High School in 1957 and went on to become a supervisor at Dietrich Industries in Hicksville. Harry genuinely cared about his community. During his time serving as  president of the Antwerp Athletic Boosters, he was an intricate part of renovating the football field. Harry never gave up being an Antwerp Super fan. If he was unable to attend a game, he was sure to watch it online. It was also rare for Harry to miss an Ohio State football game or Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers game. His family will never forget Harry feeding the birds, but most of all the special way he loved them!  

Harry will be sadly missed by his wife, Patsy (Metzler) to whom he was married February 5, 1982; children, Elaine (Phil) Kuhn, Rebecca (Jack) Benna, Vanessa (Paul) Sciortino, Bradley (Judy) Dunderman, Douglas (Laura) Dunderman, Stephanie McClure, Michele (Sid) Buehrer and Kevin (Jessica) Fulk; brother, Larry (Nila) Dunderman; 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Florence Smith, Janet Knight and Richard Dunderman.

Viewing is Tuesday, 4 PM to 7 PM at the First Baptist Church, 5482 County Rd 424, Antwerp.

His funeral service is 10:30 AM with viewing from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM on Wednesday, August 2nd at First Baptist Church of Antwerp.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
