Hazel Meglich

Hazel Meglich, 94, of Antwerp, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, at the Gardens of Paulding.

Hazel was born in Lorain, Ohio on October 17, 1927, a daughter of the late Hazel G. (Russell) & Herbert Thomas.

Hazel's greatest passion in life was music. She spent much of her life as a singer and entertainer, playing many shows in Ft. Wayne and even in Antwerp and the surrounding area. She used her passion to help support her family that she loved dearly.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Laura Meglich (Kaye Taylor), Cindy (Thad) Smart, & John (Shawna) Meglich; sibling, Jerry (Lana) Scouton; 7 grand children; 21 great grand children; & 4 great great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Meglich; daughters Merry Shoda & Sharon Meglich; brothers, Dick & Jack Thomas and grandson Brooks Starbuck. 

A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 2-5 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W River St., Antwerp, Ohio 45813.
