Helen Bear

Helen Johnston Bear, 65, of Cecil, passed away at 1:50 am, Thursday, November 20th, 2008 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.

Helen was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on August 13, 1943, the daughter of the late Paul W. Bodell and Grace M. (Belman) Crawford.

She worked at McDonald's in Paulding and was a member of The Rock Church, Oakwood, where she was the church secretary and taught Sunday school.

On June 13, 1994, she married Joseph Bear, who survives.

Helen will be sadly missed by her husband, Joe; daughters, Cindy (Scott) Rosebrock---Delaware Bend, Cheri (Larry) Ray---Paulding, Candy (Mike) Minck---Grover Hill, Nicole & Cristina Bear, both of Bryan; son, Edward Johnston, Jr.---Cecil; sister, Sonya Toms---Edgerton; brothers, Glen Crawford, Jr.---Sherwood & Don Crawford---Elkhart, Indiana; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; step father, Glen Crawford; brother, Paul Bodell, Jr. & great grandaughter, Olivia

You are invited to participate in her funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 4 pm on Sunday, November 23rd, with Rev. Burnell Hammons officiating.
