Helen H. Sleesman

HELEN H. SLEESMAN, age 87, of Antwerp, Ohio , passed away at 4:05 PM, Wednesday, April 12th, 2006 at Spring Meadows Care Center, Woodstock, Champaign County, Ohio.

Born in Antwerp, on January 26, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Everette and Naone (Hughes) Hartman.

Helen married Norman Sleesman in 1961. He passed away in 1999.

She retired as an Inspector at Dana Weatherhead Antwerp. Helen also worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne.

Helen was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp, a 1937 graduate of Antwerp High School and a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Grover of Cable, Ohio; sister, Ruth Overmyer of Hicksville, Sharlene Carroll of Fort Wayne; brothers, Bill Hartman of San Mateo, CA, George Hartman of Hicksville; 2 grandaughters, Samantha Hook and Morgan Grover and 3 great grandchildren, Cainan Carlisle and Katherine & Karleigh Hook.

Helen's sister, June Peffley has passed away.

You are invited to participate in her funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 am on Saturday, April 15th, with Reverend Charles Kamp officiating.

You may call Friday, 5 to 8 pm, and Saturday, after 10 am at Dooley Funeral Home.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
