Iris E. Woodcox, 79, of Antwerp,  passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.

Iris was born in Fort Wayne on August 9, 1935 a daughter of the late Clarence & Anna (Sunday) Parker.

Iris worked at General Electric & was a Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Antwerp United Methodist Church and VFW Post 5087 Auxiliary. Iris was an especially friendly person, who could not go anywhere without meeting someone she knew. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, summer vacation, camping and daily breakfast with her friends.  Holidays were always filled with too much food because of her love of baking, but the love of her family was what she cherished most.

On Jan 23, 1955 Iris married Kenneth Max Woodcox. He died Aug 16, 2013.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Connie (Steve) Meyer & Viktoria Woodcox, both of Antwerp & Cindie (Greg) Heck of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Ben (Carina) Meyer of Antwerp, Niki (Dustin) Carnahan of Columbus, Heather & Sarah Heck both of Fort Wayne; great grandchildren Jon & Elise Meyer & Owen Carnahan.  

Iris is also preceded in death by grandson, Scott Heck & brothers Bob, Dick & Gene Parker.

Service Monday 11 am with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.

Viewing is also Sunday 2-6 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials are to Susan G. Komen Foundation.
