James Edwin Hutchins, recently of Charlottesville, Virginia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 25, 2012 at The Hospice House on Park Street.
Jim or Hutch was born in Antwerp, Ohio on May 2, 1941 to Roland Hutchins and Mary Evans Hutchins. He is the oldest of five children but he was like a brother to their uncle William E. (Carol) Parrett. His sisters are Brenda (Mark) Yoh of Lancaster, PA, Rolana Hutchins of Jacksonville, FL, Charla (Edward) Stabler of Payne, OH and Lucinda (Jim) Speers of Charlottesville, VA.

Jim worked at many jobs but his real love was found when he became a long distance truck driver. That is where he met his current wife, Ruth, and they crossed the country together to log over a million miles before he had to retire for health reasons. His other love was fishing, which he learned from Grandpa Parrett on the Maumee River that flowed behind his grandparents farm.
Besides the siblings and uncle mentioned above, Jim is survived by his wife, Ruth Hutchins of Monticello, GA, his daughter, Lacey (Stuart) Young of Melbourne, FL, step-son Russell (Susan) Johnson of Monticello, GA and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren along with numerous other nieces and nephews and their families. Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father, his maternal grandparents Frank and Olive Parrett of Antwerp OH, fraternal grandparents, Edwin and Olive Hutchins of Cecil, OH and brother-in-law, Dale Clark of Antwerp, OH.
