James Edward Robbins

James Edward Robbins, 79, of Fort Wayne, passed away at home Wednesday, November 1, 2017. 

Jim was born in Fort Wayne, on August 18, 1938, a son of the late Virginia Alma (Beverforden) and Jack  Robbins.

He was a dedicated servant of the Lord, having been a pastor at Spring Hill Missionary Church in Berne, Indiana for 5 years and Antioch Chapel Friends Church, Van Wert, Ohio for 23 years. In total Jim was involved in some form of ministry for over 60 years. He also worked at General Electric from 1962 to 1995. 

Jim will be sadly missed by his wife, Helen whom he married Oct. 16, 1959; children, Gregory  (Tina) of Pomeroy, OH, James (Tami) of Woodburn, IN, Timothy (Christy) of Butler, IN & Gloria Crider of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Paul (Mary) of West Chicago, IL, Sharon Sprunger of Las Vegas, NV, Miriam (Jesse) Stout of South Bend, IN & Thomas (Pam) of Logansport, IN and 3 grandchildren, Hannah Marie Baumer, Micah James Robbins & Brandon Lee Crider.

Jim was also preceded in death by his brother, John & sister, Carroll Pickett.

Service is Monday, November 6, 2017, 11 am with calling one hour prior at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd, Woodburn, IN 46797.

Viewing is Sunday, November 5, 2017, 4 - 8 pm at the church

He will be laid to rest at Scipio Cemetery.
