Jean Detmon

Jean Anne Detmon, 63, of Antwerp, passed away at 12:25 am, Tuesday, July 27th, at her residence.

Jean was born in Bluffton, Indiana on December 30, 1947, a daughter of Richard W. Clark and the late Beulah Mae (Kaehr) Clark.

Jean received her masters degree from IUPU, Fort Wayne. She taught at Decatur, Indiana Junior High School from 1969 to 1972 and was a loved and respected teacher at Antwerp Local Schools for 31 years.

On May 16, 1970 Jean married Leslie Detmon, who survives.

Jean will be sadly missed by her husband, Les; daughters, Kendra (Brian) Eaken of Antwerp & Elizabeth (Brandon) James of Pinellas Park, FL; son, Matthew (Emily) of Woodinville, WA; father, Richard W. Clark of Bluffton, IN; sisters, Lisa Aschliman of Bluffton, IN & Lori Fiechter of Berne, IN; brothers, Richard L. Clark of Washington, DC & David Clark of Abu Dhabi AUE & five grandchildren, Jacob & Drew Eaken and Jack, Ella & Olivia Detmon.

Preceding her in death were her daughter, Amber Renee & mother, Beulah Mae Clark.

Her funeral service is at Woodburn Missionary Church, Woodburn, IN, at 10 am on Saturday, July 31st, with viewing one hour prior. Rev. Joel DeSelm will officiate.

Viewing is Friday, 2-8 pm at Woodburn Missionary Church.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
