Jean Foor

Jean Marie Foor, 95, formerly of Payne, OH went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Jean was born on July 9, 1929 in Pleasant Mills IN to the late Randolph Herbert and Bertha Rachel (Dauer) Everett. On July 1, 1954 she married Herbert Lowell Foor and became the mother of his children.

She graduated from Ball State Teachers College, teaching business classes at Edon, OH, Payne High School and Wayne Trace. She retired in 1983.

Jean was inducted into the Wayne Trace Teachers Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2013 she was honored for her contribution and service to the Village of Payne.

Jean was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Payne. She enjoyed serving her Lord and volunteering at the church. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Gayle (Chuck) Corkwell of Fishers, IN; her daughter-in-law, Jackie Foor, of Payne; 7 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Herb; her son Kenny Foor and her brothers Richard and Donald Everett.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26th, from 4 pm to 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 27th, 10:30 am with viewing 9:30 am to 10:15 am at the St. Paul United Methodist Church, 312 S. Main Street, Payne. Officiating will be Rev. George Reed.

 Jean will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery.
