Jeannie Gerken

Phyllis "Jeannie"  Gerken, 77, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, January 10, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Defiance on June 6, 1936, a daughter of the late Agnes (McBride) and Henry  Ripke.

Jeannie was a homemaker who loved to paint and write poetry.

On Sept. 7, 1966 she married Larry Gerken.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Larry; children, Ronald (Nicole) of Woodburn, Mandy (Jim) Clemens of Cecil, Kelly (Ron) Tuttle & Robby (Kathy) both of Antwerp; siblings, Betty Hunt of Continental, Janet Ashbaugh of Morriston, FL, Karen (Bob) Jones of Bastrop, TX, Linda Ringenberg of TX, Barb (Bill) Gerdeman of Fremont, OH, Ron (Alice) Ripke of Junction City, OR & Lynn (Gerry) Ripke of Liberty Center; 13 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.  Also preceding her in death was a brother, Jerry Ripke.
  
Her service is at 1 pm on Monday, January 13th, with viewing one hour prior at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, where viewing is also Sunday, 2 - 6 pm.

She will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery.
