Jennifer Deal

Jennifer Lynn Deal was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She left this world suddenly surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, April 9th, 2023 at the age of 60.

Jenny was the first child born to Walter and the late Sue (Ross) Schilb of Antwerp, Ohio on August 18th,1962. After graduating high school, she discovered her passion for nursing and graduated from Parkview Methodist School of Nursing in 1983. She went on to become a pediatric nurse, and has most recently been working as a home health care nurse for Bayada Pediatrics. This was more than just a job to her; she loved the children that she cared for as if they were her own.

Family meant everything to Jenny. She enjoyed doing themed 5K walks and movie nights with her son, and traveling to see her daughter and granddaughter in Washington. Her 9 month old granddaughter was the absolute light of her life and she was so proud to be a grandmother. Jenny’s loving, kind, and fun presence in the lives of her family will be so greatly missed.

Jenny is survived by children, Michael Deal, Shannon (Doug) Ziegler; siblings, Karen (Tom) Fenker, Steve (Kathy) Schilb, and Scott (Allen) Schilb; father, Walter Schilb; and her granddaughter, Ruby Ziegler.

Jenny was also preceded in death by her mother, Sue Schilb.

Viewing is Friday, April 14, 2023 from 9-11 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River St., Antwerp, Ohio 45813.

Her service is also Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11 AM at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest at Rochester Cemetery, Cecil, Ohio. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ruby Ziegler’s education fund, in care of Shannon Ziegler.
