Jim Hoisington

James R. Hoisington, age 70, of Paulding, passed away Tuesday, October 16th, 2007, 5:00 am at his residence.

Born in Greenfield, Ohio on February 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Floyd and Gladys (McConnaughey) Hoisington.

He served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War. Jim was a manager at Seaway Foodtown, Toledo, was a member of Paulding Church of the Nazarene, Christian Businessmen's Association, Toledo and was active in the Nazarene Light House Camp, St. Mary's, Ohio.

On June 3, 1955, Jim married Joan Eads, who survives.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joan; daughters, Cynthia (Allan) Helle of Paulding, Nancy Hoisington of Columbus & Melody (Kenneth) Arends of Prince George, VA; son, Mark of Toledo; sister, Connie French of Sarasota, FL; 12 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

Jim's sister, Bonnie Thrasher and granddaughter, Amanda Arends, have passed away.

You are invited to participate in his funeral service Friday, 11 am, at the Paulding Church of the Nazarene with Revs. Kim & Cindy Semran & Rev. John Dodds officiating.

You may call, Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp and Friday, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

He will be laid to rest at Paulding Memorial Cemetery.
