Joan Rodriguez

Joan Rodriguez, 75, of Antwerp, passed away Friday, August 7th, 2009 at Paulding County Hospital.

Joan was born in Marion, IN on May 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Jose & Andrea (Martinez) Mendez. She worked at GM, Defiance. Her husband of 45 years, Rudy, passed away in 1997.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Rita (Frank) Borowiak of Ft Wayne, Mona (Mike) Worst of Hunstville, Linda (Stephen) Scott of Riverside, CA, Joyce (Joe) Wells of Sherwood; sons, Freddie & Hector of Antwerp & James of Ft Wayne; sisters, Connie Thiel of Hamonton, LA, Eleanor Estep of Ft Wayne, Maria Fry of Defiance, Tona Palacios of Tacoma, WA & Amy Dunderman of Antwerp; brothers, Miguel Mendez of Ft Wayne, Nick of Cecil, Raymond of Defiance, Joe of Zion, IL & David of Ney; 11 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Ellen; son, Raul; sisters, Ester McHargue & Marianne Reyes and brothers, Ted & Chris Mendez.

Services at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp at 2 pm on Monday, August 10th, with Rev. Jim Edwards officiating.

Viewing is Sunday, 5 to 8 pm & Monday, one hour prior to her service.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.

Her family requests donations to The Arthritis Foundation.
