John Martinez

John Contreras Martinez, 60, of Payne, left to be with the Lord at 10:07 am, Sunday, March 21st, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. He is walking the streets of glory today.

John was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on February 3, 1950, a son of the late Mary (Contreras) and Michael Martinez.

He had worked at Meridian in Grabill, IN.

On Sept 24, 1986 he married Sharon (Fulmer) Martinez.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 24 years, Sharon; son, John (Heather); stepchildren, Carrie (Jack) Poling & Kevin Cox; sisters, Veronica (Eduardo) Ovalle & Linda Martinez; brothers, Joe (Jeanie), Guadelupe (Donna) & Rocky & 10 grandchildren.


His memorial service is at The Rock Church, 20763 SR 637, Oakwood, at 11 am on Friday, March 26th, with calling two hours prior.

Visitation is also Thursday, 4-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.
