Junior "Zeb" DeLong

Zeb DeLong, age 79 of Antwerp, passed away at 3:05 AM, Thursday, January 6th, 2005, at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville, Ohio. He was born in Edon, Ohio on July 12, 1925, the son of Arthur C. and Hazel (Marlin) DeLong. On November 13, 1948, Zeb married Janet Friend. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a supervisor at Phelps Dodge, Fort Wayne and a member of Antwerp VFW Post 5087 and Antwerp American Legion Post 253. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Janet; daughters Lana Peters and Gina Phlipot both of Antwerp; grandchildren Stacie, Kelley and Brad Peters, Andrew Hughes and Robbie Phlipot and great grandchildren Keersten Peters and Tyra Conley. His brothers, Cletus, Glenn and Carl DeLong and sister, Viola Gorrell have passed away. You may call Friday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM and Saturday after 10 AM, with his funeral service at 11 AM at Dooley Funeral Home, with Reverend Jim Edwards officiating. Zeb will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery in Antwerp. Contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
