Karen Sue Begley

Karen Sue Begley , 75 of Woodburn , Indiana, formerly of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 9, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. 

Karen was born in Lima, Ohio, on June 3, 1947 the daughter of the late Robert  & Mildred (Moorman) Wilhelm. 

Karen will always be remembered for her love of her family, her amazing smile, her stubbornness & for being a hard worker. 

Karen loved to spend time with family, camping trips & cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes. She was also an avid bear collector, loved her jewelry & making crafts. Most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother & a great friend. Her family will miss her quick wit & responses like “if the good Lord's willing & the creek don’t rise” 

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Christina (Bob) Flynn & Nichole (Eddie) Worrell; daughter-in-law, Marian Saylor; brother, Denny (Joan) Wilhelm; grandchildren, Blake (Riley) Carlisle, Paige Lichty, Hunter Kushion, Jaxon & Cooper Worrell and her faithful canine companion, Missy Mae. 

Karen was also preceded in death by her two sons, Tony & Brian Saylor, brother Jerry Wilhelm & grandson, Chase Kushion. 

The viewing will be held on Friday, October 14th from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne, Ohio, with a funeral service immediately following at 6:00 pm. 

Memorials are to be made to Promedica Hospice.
