Kenneth E. Klender, 88, of Antwerp, passed away Tuesday, November 19th, at Laurels of Defiance.
Ken was born in Antwerp on January 9, 1925, a son of the late Bertha (Andes) and Ernst Klender.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the submarine Jallao during WW II; worked at International Harvester & was a member of Antwerp United Methodist Church.
Ken enjoyed woodworking, farming and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.
On Oct 23, 1948 he married Margaret English who died March 5, 2004
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Sandra (Kerry) Knuth; brother, Paul (Peggy) all of Antwerp; granddaughters, Marya Heltzel of Maumee & Jennifer of Grand Rapids, MI.
His service is at Antwerp United Methodist Church at 10 am on Saturday, November 23rd, with viewing one hour prior.
Viewing is Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
He will be laid to rest at Poplar Ridge Cemetery.
