LAVON ZUBER, age 91, of Antwerp, passed away Wednesday, June 21st, 2006 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born in Antwerp, Ohio on January 9, 1915, the son of the late Leonard and Lena M. (Milburn) Zuber.
On Oct. 9, 1935 he married Bertie Quantaince, who survives.
In 1979 he retired from General Electric, Fort Wayne after 35 years of service.
He was a member of Hicksville Fraternal Order of Eagles, he loved woodworking and also enjoyed fishing.
LaVon was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, who loved life and will be sadly missed by his wife, Bertie; daughter, Sally Zuber of Fort Wayne; son & daughter-in-law, Larry & Wendy Reyna Zuber of Antwerp; grandsons, Brant & Jeremy; great grandchildren, Kayla, Braden & Brady & 2 step grandchildren, Lucas & MaKayla.
He is preceded in death by 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
You are invited to participate in his funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 AM on Saturday, June 24th, with Rev. Mike Harper officiating.
You may call Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM and Saturday after 10 AM.
He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
