Leota Davis

Leota E. Davis, 90, of Paulding, passed away at 5:54 pm, Monday, June 14th, at The Gardens of Paulding.

Leota was born in Antwerp, Ohio on November 24, 1919, a daughter of the late Ethel (Laney) and Sid Carr. On Oct. 19, 1940 she married Ted Davis, who passed away Oct. 24, 1978.

She was a 1937 graduate of Antwerp High School; had been a clerk at GC Murphy, Defiance and a member of the Antwerp Presbyterian Church and the Antwerp VFW & American Legion Auxiliaries.

Leota will be sadly missed by her daughters, Billie (Gene) Starkey of Bethel Park, PA & Margaret (Howard) Johnson of Paulding; sons, Richard (Mary) of Paulding & Tom (Sandy) of Defiance; sisters, Jenny McCoy of Monroeville, IN & Rosie Rhoades of Ligonier, IN; 11 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Helen Dull & Edith Zartman and brothers, Sidney & Virgil Carr.

Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11 am on Friday, June 18th, with viewing one hour prior. Rev. Jim Edwards will officiate.

Viewing Thursday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
