Liz Hedrick

Elizabeth Irene Hedrick, 84, of Antwerp passed away Saturday, July 27th, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

Liz was born in Hicksville on May 9, 1929, a daughter of the late Julia (Kalmer) and Joseph  Szabo.

She was the owner at Riverside Restaurant, Antwerp for 12 years & had worked at Holiday Lanes in Defiance. Liz was a member of the Antwerp VFW & American Legion Auxiliaries and Defiance Eagles Auxiliary.  

She married Julius Beregszazi in 1946. He died in 1977, then in 1978 Liz married George Hedrick.  

Liz will be sadly missed by her husband, George; 8 children, Diane Kemerer Sliger of Ft Wayne, Jeanette (Randy) Brooks, Louis (Lisa), Carl, Julius, Jr. & Joe (Lisa) Beregszazi, Christine (Jeff) Crabill all of Antwerp & Kay Beregszazi of Cecil; 2 sisters, Margaret Rau of Latty & Helen (Harry) Seslar of Antwerp; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death was her brother, Louis.

Viewing is Wednesday 2-4 & 6-7:45 pm, with a VFW Auxiliary service at 7:45 pm, at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.

Her service is Thursday, 10 am at First Baptist Church of Antwerp, with viewing one hour prior.

She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
