Lois Marie Jones

Lois Marie Jones, 78, of Fort Wayne passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home.

Lois was born in Washington, PA on January 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Frances Marie (Bradford) and Charles William VanGilder.

She was a sweet and faith filled woman who loved her family. Along with being a meticulous homemaker and amazing cook, Lois enjoyed playing the piano and organ at her church. She also had been employed at Asbury College. 

Lois met Rev. Raymond Jones when she was asked to play the piano for a revival at the church he pastored. They were married Dec. 29, 1963. He passed away Nov. 26, 1989.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Ray (Tami) Jones of Lexington, KY, Rev.Bert (Cheryl) Jones of Harlan, IN and Ruth (Rev. Matthew) Gullion of Uniondale, IN; sister, Ruth VanGilder of Fort Wayne and 7 grandchildren, Joshua, Allyson, Ryan, Aaron & Rebecca Jones and Abigayle & Elisabeth Gullion.

Her funeral service is 11 AM, with viewing one hour prior on Saturday, July 25th at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, IN.

Viewing is also Friday, 4 - 7 PM at the church.

We ask that you wear masks at all times, maintain social distancing and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in Lois's viewing on Friday and service on Saturday.

She will be laid to rest at Washington Cemetery, Washington, PA
