Lois Young

Lois I. Young, 98, of Payne, passed away at 5:55 am, Friday, December 19th, 2008 at Parkview Hospice, Fort Wayne.

Lois was born in Paulding, Ohio on June 23, 1910, the daughter of the late Otto and Martha (Mossoney) Ludwig.

She was a member of Payne Church of Christ, the Pauding County Benevolent Society the Historical Society and the Eatern Star. She was also a volunteer at Parkview Hospital.

On May 9, 1931 she married Evard Young, who died May 9, 1974.

Lois will be sadly missed by her daughter, Sue (Joe) Meyer of Antwerp; son, Garry (Anita) of Payne; daughter-in-law, Jean of Payne; 12 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren & 9 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Howard; sisters, Florence Unger, Helen Reinhart, Beulah Straley, DeLean Dotterer & Lela Wilhelm and brother, William Ludwig.

You are invited to participate in her funeral service at the Payne Church of Christ at 11 am on Tuesday, December 23rd, with viewing one hour prior. Rev. Joseph Allan will officiate.

She will be laid to rest at Lehman Cemetery, Payne.

Her viewing is Monday, 2-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 5761 SR 500, Payne.

Her family requests donations to Payne EMS or the church.
