Loretta Tempel DiNofia, of Antwerp, formerly of Philadelphia & Wildwood, NJ, passed away Jan. 21, 2012 at Community Memorial Hospital, Hicksville.
Loretta was born in Paulding on December 7, 1915, a daughter of the late Olive A. (Schmidt) and Albert J. Tempel.
She was an accomplished opera singer in Philadelphia, who moved to Wildwood, NJ after retiring. There she was a member of the Moose Lodge. Loretta recently moved to Antwerp to be with her family, where she was a devout member of Divine Mercy Catholic Parish.
Loretta will be sadly missed by her nieces & nephews, Beverly Rex, Dorinda Jarrell, DoRetta Cline, Marlene Tempel, William Carper and Kevin, John & Gary Tempel.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; stepson, Joey; siblings, Linus, Vitalis & Valerie Tempel and nephew, David Tempel.
Viewing is at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, Tuesday, 5-7:30 pm with a catholic vigil service at 7:30 pm. Viewing is also Wednesday, 9-9:30 am, at the funeral home.
Her Mass of Christian Burial is at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Antwerp, Wednesday, 10 am.
She will be laid to rest at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
