Madge L. Elliott, 93, of Antwerp, departed this earthly home into the arms of her savior on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Manor House Assisted Living.
Madge was born in Woodburn, IN on March 1, 1918, a daughter of the late Amy (Gustin) and Vernon Stevenson. On May 26, 1938 she married Gilbert Elliott, who died Feb. 29, 1968. They moved to Naples FL in 1958 and made their home for 10 years. Returning to Paulding County she retired from Paulding County Hospital in 1980. Madge was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Larry (Lucille) of Antwerp; half brother, Carl (Norma) Stevenson of Defiance; half sisters, Violet Hughes of Antwerp, Mary Ann (Larry) Hawkins of Florida & Peggy (Jerry) Koch of N.C.; 4 grandchildren, Brent (Stacie) Brown of Ft. Wayne, Debra (Gary) Ward of Payne, Dean (Kelly) of Ft. Jennings & Amy (Gary) Leatherman of Douglasville, GA; 12 great grandchildren & 10 great great grandchildren & sister-in-law, Marcellene Noll of Antwerp.
Also preceding her in death are her sister, Eula Hickman; brother, Cecil & half brothers Richard & John Stevenson.
Her funeral service is at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, at 11 am on Saturday, March 19th, with viewing one hour prior. Pastor Mike Pennington will officiate.
Viewing is also Friday, 2 to 6 pm at Dooley Funeral Home.
She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
