Marcellene L. Noll, 78, of Antwerp, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.
Marcellene was born in Antwerp on March 31, 1933, the daughter of the late George & May (Hissong) Elliott.
She was a 1951 graduate Antwerp High School. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp; the Chamber of Commerce; the Eastern Star & the Advisory Board for the Manor House. She also had been active in Scouting.
Marcellene worked at Hardware Wholesalers; North American Van Lines; was a corespondent for the Antwerp Bee Argus, the Paulding Progress and the Defiance Crescent. She retired in 1999 from the Antwerp Local School where she started as a reading aide in 1974. She was instrumental in building the first computer lab and the long distance learning program at the school.
On June 30, 1956 she married Jerry Noll, who passed away Sept. 19, 2006.
Marcellene will be sadly missed by her children, Cheri (Mike) Oxender of Napoleon, Evan (Laurel) of LaPorte, IN & Mark of Indianapolis; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were her brothers, Norbert, Gilbert & Elmo Elliott.
Her funeral service is at First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp at 11 am on Saturday, December 10th, with viewing one hour prior. Pastor Mike Pennington will officiate.
Viewing is also Friday, 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp.
She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery.
