Marlene Pier

Marlene Pier, 84, of Antwerp, Ohio passed away at home on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

Marlene was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 13, 1939, a daughter of the late Marie (Green) and Robert Rockstroh, Sr

She worked at Dana Weatherhead for many years. Nobody would dispute that Marlene was the biggest Notre Dame fan they ever knew. The only things that she loved more than cheering for Notre Dame were God and her family.  She always enjoyed her time as a member of the Red Hat Society and VFW Auxiliary.

Marlene will be sadly missed by her husband, Roger, to whom she was married May 18, 1974; children, Kenneth (the late Cindy), Robert (Sonya), Michael (Darlene) and Tom (Linda) Herber, Leila (Jim) Hertel, Pam (Brian) Herber and Tam (Terry) Pollock:stepchildren, Lisa Ridgeway, Tracey Fahling and Douglas Pier; 27 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Burns; grandson Chauncey Becker and brother, Robert Rockstroh, Jr.

Viewing is Monday, October, 2nd, 3:00 to 6:30 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, Ohio 45813. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM.

Funeral Mass is Tuesday, 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 203 W. Townline Street, Payne, Ohio. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH AT 9:45 AM

She will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
