Marty Hunt

Martin J.W. Hunt, 79, of Antwerp, Ohio, passed away at home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Marty was born in Marion, Ohio on November 19, 1943, a son of the late Rozelda (Otto) and Luther Hunt.

Marty served his country in the U.S. Navy. He remained active in the Antwerp VFW, making sure that other veterans received military honors. Marty will always be remembered for his sense of humor and quick wit! He could find humor in just about anything. Although he worked at BF Goodrich and Dooley Funeral Home, after retirement, he took the most pride in the love he had for his family. Burma Shave!

He will be sadly missed by his wife Judy (Messman), daughter, Laura ( Kevin) Bond, grandchildren, Jacob & Elizabeth Bond; Siblings, Laurenda (Roland) Gibson, Kathy (Jerry) Mauldin, Lesa Sieger, Rebecca (Cory) Michaels & Melissa (Todd) Girardot;   sisters in law, Clarehilda & Suzi Hunt and his beloved dog, Biscuit.

He was also preceded in death by his siblings, James & Bill Hunt, Sandra Sauder, Nancy Burns and Peggy Johnson.

Viewing is Monday, January 2nd, 4 pm to 7 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp.

Marty's funeral service is Tuesday, January 3rd, 10:30 am, with viewing 9:30 am to 10:15 am at the funeral home.

He will be laid to rest in Maumee Cemetery with military honors.
