MARYLENE "JO" TAYLOR, age 85, of Antwerp, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 3rd, 2006 at the residence of her daughter.
She was born in Delphos, Ohio on January 30, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Dora (Overmeyer) Matzen. She married Ralph Taylor in 1941. Ralph passed away on October 9, 2005.
Marylene graduated from Delphos Jefferson High School in 1939. She worked as a clerk at the Dry Cleaners and Post Office. She enjoyed sewing and polka dancing and was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Antwerp.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Ellouise "JoJo" and Alvin Copsey of Antwerp, Ohio; granddaughter, Joyce and great grandchildren Chris and Melitta Mendez, Mandolin Childers and Adam Keogh; sisters, Valera Beacon of Celina, Ohio, and Ethel Noble of Medin, MA and brother, Carl Matzen of Lima, Ohio.
Jo was preceded in death by her granddaughter Josette Copsey; sisters, Thelma Matzen, Irene Matzen, Esther Sites, Irma Doctor; and brothers Vernon, Kenneth, and Wilber Matzen.
You are invited to participate in her funeral service at Dooley Funeral Home, Antwerp, at 11:00 AM on Monday with Deacon Robert Nighswander officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, Antwerp.
