Michael F. Knight, 73, of Antwerp, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 while wintering in Florida.
Mike was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 15, 1948, a son of the late Alice (Yoh) & Frederick Knight.
Mike was a proud US Navy Veteran. He worked as an airplane mechanic on the USS Ticonderoga during his time in the service. Mike then spent his working years at Steel Dynamics. In retirement, Mike spent time driving bus for Antwerp Schools and worked as a greeter at Dooley Funeral Home. He enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife, Cindy, especially their trip to Israel and cruise to Hawaii. Mike was involved in the VFW, the Antwerp Conservation Club, and was a member of the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, where he volunteered as a CCD teacher and with Christ Renews His Parish. Above all, Mike was a kind hearted family man, who always put his loved ones first.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Cindy, to whom he was married in 1969; children, Steve (Audrey), Kris (Amy), & Alex (Collette) Knight; siblings, Marolyn Shull Mercer, Carolyn (Larry) Smith, Gene Knight, Rick (Beth) Knight, & Bill (Luella) Knight; grandchildren, Andrew, Elaina, Kelby, Alivia & Zach Knight.
Viewing is Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 2 pm to 5 pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 202 W. River Street, Antwerp, with a Catholic Vigil Service at 5 pm.
Viewing is also Monday, December 20, 2021 from 10:00 am to 10:30 am at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday December 20, 2021 at 11 am at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 303 Monroe Street, Antwerp.
Guests must wear nose and mouth covering masks at all times, maintain social distancing, and refrain from contact to keep everyone safe while participating in his viewing and funeral service.

He will be laid to rest at Maumee Cemetery, with military honors.
