Monte J. Hildum

MONTE J. HILDUM, age 64, of Antwerp, Ohio, passed away at 9:45 AM, Sunday, December 10th, 2006 at Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance.

Born in Warren, PA on December 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Burdette A. and Lena H. (Yehl) Hildum.

Monte served many years in the U.S. Navy.

On December 9, 1994 Monte married Gwen Gerig, who survives.

He worked as an Electronics Engineer at Western Money Systems, Las Vegas, but previously worked at Dana Weatherhead, Antwerp.

Monte was a member of Antwerp VFW Post 5087, American Legion Post 253, the Payne Amvets and the Paulding Eagles.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Gwen of Antwerp; daughters, Debra Williams, Jere June Sylcott, Renee Gaut, all of Las Vegas & Tania Greene of Henderson, NV; step daughters, Bobbie Plewa of Fort Wayne & Terri Kortokrax of Roanake, Indiana; sister, Faye Russell of Prescott, AZ; brothers, Jack of Pahrump, NV & Don of Thailand; 16 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchildren. Monte's brothers, Junior & Doug, have passed away.

Services, Friday, December 15th, 2 PM at Antwerp VFW Post 5087 with Rev. Max Begley.
